Size: 50cm Habitat: Located from Darwin down the east coast of Australia and also Southern Western Austalia, this Egret prefers pasture land, often seen grazing with stock, can also be sighted in swamps. The Cattle Egret prefers grasshoppers as well frogs, toads and small lizards. Notes: White bird with rust coloured head, neck and back, the smallest Egret in Australia. Breeds all seasons when conditions are good.
